Curriculum
Integrated-thematic Approach
We embrace an integrated-thematic approach in teaching and learning to support your child’s holistic development. Integrated learning experiences help children understand how knowledge and skills are linked. Lessons are planned based on a theme or topic of investigation.
Learning Domains
Our activities cover six learning areas for holistic development.
Language & Literacy
Children learn to:
- Listen for information and enjoyment
- Speak to convey meaning and communicate with others
- Read with understanding and for enjoyment
- Use drawing, mark making, symbols and writing with invented and conventional spelling to communicate ideas and information
Numeracy
Children learn to:
- Recognise and use simple relationships and patterns
- Use numbers in daily experiences
- Recognise and use basic shapes and simple spatial concepts in daily experiences
Motor Skills Development
Children learn to:
- Enjoy through participation in a variety of physical activities
- Demonstrate control, coordination and balance in gross motor tasks
- Demonstrate control, coordination in fine motor tasks
- Develop healthy habits and safety awareness at home, in school and at public places
Social & Emotional Development
Children learn to:
- Develop an awareness and personal identity
- Manage their own emotions and behaviours
- Show respect for diversity
- Communicate, interact and build relationships with others

Aesthetics & Creative Expression
Children learn to:
- Enjoy art and music and movement activities

- Find out why things happen and how things work through simple investigations
